What does senior living cost in Colorado Springs?

These are the reviewed Colorado monthly ranges from our cost benchmarks, with what we actually see quoted in Colorado Springs next to each one.

Expect Colorado Springs to price at or below the low end of the statewide range for assisted living and memory care. The Broadmoor area and north Briargate are the exceptions and can match Denver pricing. Military and VA benefits reshape the math here more than anywhere else in the state.

What should Colorado Springs families know before they tour?

Colorado Springs sits in El Paso County, and a few local realities shape every search we run here.

Colorado Springs is a military town, and that changes senior living. VA Aid and Attendance can add a meaningful monthly benefit for a wartime veteran or a surviving spouse, and in a market priced this low that benefit sometimes covers most of the gap between home and assisted living.

The city is long and narrow, so drive time is the real constraint. A building in Briargate and one in Fountain are forty minutes apart in traffic, and we plan tours around who is going to be visiting each week rather than around the map.

Springs pricing tempts families to move a parent down from Denver. Sometimes that is right and sometimes it quietly ends visits, so we talk it through honestly before anyone signs a lease an hour from the family.

Families are usually surprised by two things in the Springs: how far the money goes, and how much the drive matters. Get the drive right and the budget takes care of itself.

Frequently asked questions

Usually yes. Assisted living and memory care in Colorado Springs commonly quote at the low end of the statewide range, several hundred dollars a month below comparable Denver buildings. The Broadmoor area and north Briargate are the exceptions.

Often. VA Aid and Attendance is a monthly benefit for eligible wartime veterans and surviving spouses, and in a market priced this low it can close most of the gap. We flag it on the first call and point you at the accredited help to file.

Yes, and we plan the day around drive time from whoever is visiting most. We will not send you to five buildings spread across forty minutes of Powers Boulevard traffic in one afternoon.

Sometimes, and sometimes it quietly cuts visits down to once a month. We will lay out both the savings and that risk before you decide, because visit frequency changes outcomes more than the monthly rate does.
