Estimate What Senior Living Will Cost

Choose a care type, a room or apartment type, and the daily help level that sounds closest. The estimator adds the typical Colorado care fee and shows a monthly and yearly range right away. Nothing is saved and no email is needed to see your number.

This is an estimate, not a quote. Care pricing in Colorado varies more than almost anything else in senior living. The same level of help can run 300 dollars a month in one town and 800 in another, and some communities price level four care at 2,000 or more. Every community sets its own levels and its own prices. The only way to get a real number is to have someone check with the specific communities that fit. We do that for free.

Daily help level

Communities price daily help in tiers. A nurse sets the tier after an assessment. Pick the one that sounds closest.

This does not change the estimate. If you send it to us, an advisor reads it before calling.

What is included in the base price?

The base monthly price covers the apartment or room, three meals a day, housekeeping, laundry, utilities, activities, and scheduled transportation. It also covers having staff in the building around the clock, which is most of what families are really paying for.

In assisted living, the base rate usually includes a small amount of daily help, such as a wellness check and a reminder at breakfast. Anything beyond that is priced as care.

What is usually extra?

The daily help fee is the biggest add-on, and it is the one this estimator asks about. Each level covers more hands-on help than the one below it, so moving up a level raises the monthly bill. A second person in the same apartment adds a second occupancy fee, and a secured memory care setting carries its own premium because staffing is heavier.

Outside of care, expect a one-time community fee of roughly 1,500 to 5,000 dollars, plus personal items like cable, salon visits, and outings. An annual rate increase is normal, so ask for the last three years of increases before you sign. Our Colorado cost guide walks through every line.

Why do quotes differ from these numbers?

A community quotes you after a nurse assessment, not before. That assessment sets the care level, and two people with the same diagnosis can land in different tiers. Availability matters too. If only a one bedroom is open, that is the price you are given even when a studio would have suited you.

Geography moves the number as much as anything. Boulder and Greenwood Village sit at the top of the range and Greeley sits well below it. If a quote comes back far outside these ranges, tell us and we will read it with you.

Frequently asked questions

A care level is the community's way of pricing how much hands-on help someone needs each day, from medication reminders at level one to full daily assistance at level four. The community's nurse decides it after an assessment, not the family and not us, and it can change after move-in if needs change.

Every community sets its own level definitions and its own prices, and local wages and occupancy move the number. The same daily help can run 300 dollars a month in one Colorado town and 800 in another, and some communities price level four at 2,000 or more.

It covers the second person living in the same apartment, usually a spouse or partner. It pays for their meals, utilities, and the basic services the community provides. Their care, if they need any, is priced separately at their own level.

In most Colorado communities, yes. The base monthly rate covers the apartment, three meals a day, housekeeping, laundry, utilities, activities, scheduled transportation, and staff in the building around the clock. Care is billed on top of it.
